This policy explains, in plain language, what AutoBookmark ("we," "us") does with information when you use the AutoBookmark website (autobookmark.app) and the AutoBookmark Chrome Extension (together, the "Services"). We built this as a simple hobby project and we keep data practices minimal.
Passwords are stored as a one-way hash if you create an account
For your account profile
Names, descriptions, selectors/rules, status, preferences, and images you choose to upload
If you choose to sign in with Google or Facebook, we only receive your email address and basic profile information as provided by those services
The extension sends the page's HTML to our server to generate the AutoBookmark
We receive the current page URL and your position/progress for that AutoBookmark
We do NOT collect page content or your browsing history
Standard Azure logging (timestamps, error messages, request details) to keep things running and secure. IP addresses are masked/anonymized by default. These are kept only as long as needed for that purpose
Are NOT collected or transmitted by the extension
Only runs on domains you have explicitly granted permission for. It checks whether the active page matches an AutoBookmark boundary. If you click the app icon, the extension analyzes the page structure and may send page content to our servers to generate an AutoBookmark. Otherwise, page content is never sent.
Used to access current tab information AutoBookmark trackign to work
Required to access autobookmark.app and api.autobookmark.app for authentication and data sync and for the app to work

If we ever merge/sell assets, your information may transfer with notice
Auth/session tokens and extension data stay in your browser until you clear it or uninstall the extension
Account/profile data, AutoBookmark data, and uploads are stored while needed to operate your account and the Services. When you delete your account or content, we remove it from active systems; backups are deleted according to our standard retention schedule
We use standard safeguards appropriate for a small project. No method is perfect, but we work to protect your information.
